Hackathon
City JS India 2022 brings the next generation evolution by inclusion of new methodology in engineering and latest technology. The Hackathon will be a fringe event and will cover students from various backgrounds from academic institutions in India. This will be a 48hr Hackathon and this will include phases like ideation, algorithm design, solution oriented approach and implementation. We are trying to mimic the real world problems and challenges and bring out possible solutions. Although the solutions will be on a small scale we want this platform to be a kick start to the student’s thinking and implementation strategies to enter into the real time challenges.
Important Deadlines:
31st Jan- Registration for hackathon ends
11th March - 48 hr Hackathon begins
12th March- Hackathon ends and Winners declaration
Duration of Hackathon: 48 hr
The Hackathon will cover the following themes:
Smart Automation
Healthcare (more focussed on COVID related like tracking of positive cases, etc)
Fitness and sports
Heritage and Culture
Agriculture and Food Tech
Rural Development
Bonus track- Wikimedia based projects
Your ideas need not be restricted to the above,we encourage you to bring to the Hackathon any tasks or contributions from your Open Source communities that need help or you wish to solve during this Hackathon.
The top three winning teams will receive exciting gift hampers. The winning teams will also get an opportunity to publish their ideas and solutions in the CityJS India 2022 journal.

Wikimedia Hackathon at CityJS India 2022
This is an exclusive event for Wikimedia contributors and newcomers to Wikimedia community. Srishti Sethi from Wikimedia Foundation will preside over this Hackathon and mentors from Wikimedia communities will support the students to contribute to specific tasks around Wikimedia projects. Students participating in this track will receive certificates, gifts and swags from Wikimedia. Do reach to your Student Point of Contact from your college who will give you more details about this event.
