Description
Java promised âwrite once, run anywhereâ, but it was the JavaScript VM that made it onto every device. You can write isomorphic JavaScript that runs in both the browser and in Node.js. This is particularly useful if you are developing a module that others can use. Writing code for others to consume has a raft of considerations: ESM or CommonJS, polyfills for Node or the browser. There are architectural approaches that you can take to structure dependencies (like dependency injection) to help you write maintainable code.
